Social Ambassadors! Promote our new Daily Kos article · Northeast Arizona Native Organizing Campaign
Greetings, Northeast Arizona Native Democrats **Social Ambassadors**! Thank you for helping us boost our Daily Kos article to be published on **Sunday, June30th at 11am MOUNTAIN TIME**.
By signing up for this timeslot, you are requesting to receive an email at 11am MT on 6/29/24 with a link to our just-published article. At that time, you can click the article link, view the article on Daily Kos, click "Recommend," and perhaps even leave a comment at the end of the article.
** It's most helpful if you can recommend the article within a half-hour of its publication on the Daily Kos website. **
Your help amplifying our articles has had a measurable impact on boosting our fundraising from the Daily Kos community. We used to trend in the top 20 for an hour after publication. When Social Ambassadors like you jump in to "recommend" an article within the first hour, we've consistently had articles trend in the top five for up to 12 hours. That results in the article being publicized to thousands more potential donors, volunteers, and fans. Put it this way: every time you "recommend" an article for us, it's like you've donated money yourself (without needing to get out your wallet).

Meet Cardzilla! Virtual Event · Northeast Arizona Native Organizing Campaign
We're excited to see you this Saturday for a virtual event on Zoom to meet Cardzilla! Our expert team will give you a tour of Cardzilla, and a chance to ask our team your questions.
Cardzilla lets you download the same Northeast Arizona Native Democrats postcard addresses and scripts you know and love, and you even get a weekly newsletter with inspirations from the field, just like you do now. Plus, you can get addresses any time, day or night, any day of the week; and, you decide exactly how many addresses you want, from five to 5000.
We introduced Cardzilla to a select few of our postcard writers back in December, and with their help, our postcard administrative team have made a few tweaks that mean Cardzilla is ready to roll out to all our postcarders.
Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!

2024 Primary Election Ballot Chase: Native Vote Virtual Phone Bank · Northeast Arizona Native Organizing Campaign
Join us Thursdays and Sundays in July for our virtual phone bank to reach out to Navajo, Hopi, and Apache voters to assist them in returning their mail-in ballots for the July 30th primary election
We'll begin each week in our Zoom meeting, review the script, and then make calls for two hours. You can stay on the Zoom if you'd like help (or company), or you can hop off to make calls on your own.
Why are these calls so important? Voters on NEAZ sovereign lands will decide key 2024 elections in Arizona. Help us reach voters to make sure they have all the information they need both to cast their ballot. The work you do now to empower Native voters will last beyond this election. We are building a political power base for Native communities.
If you're new to calling Native voters, we're very excited to welcome you to the team! We ask that you complete our Cultural Competency and Anti-Bias Training for Volunteers on Tribal Lands. RSVP to receive the link to watch the recording.

Cultural Competency Training for Callers to Tribal Lands · Northeast Arizona Native Organizing Campaign
Join us Sunday June 25 at 4pm Arizona/Pacific on Zoom for this essential cultural competency training for phonebanking to tribal lands! Northeast Arizona Native Democrats' Campaigns Director Loren Marshall (Navajo Nation) will be joined by Jaynie Parrish (Navajo Nation), Executive Director of Arizona Native Vote, for this essential one-hour training. Non-Native attendees will increase their Indigenous cultural competency and empower themselves to do no harm when interacting with voters on sovereign lands. Phonebankers who complete this training can sign up to call Navajo, Hopi, and White Mountain Apache Matriarchs on sovereign lands on Thursday evenings!

2023 Postcard Campaign: No Off Years! High Potential Native Voters · Northeast Arizona Native Organizing Campaign
In 2023, our team must reach every high-potential Native Democratic voter on Navajo, Hopi, and White Mountain Apache lands in Northeast Arizona. With your help, we can empower Native voices in Arizona politics to vote for a Blue Arizona. Our organization has no "off" years - the Presidential election may be in 2024, but our voters are there every year and building our relationship doesn't take a year off.
Please sign up to get a list of 25 voter addresses and a script to help us reach our voters. There is no actual meeting on Fridays for this project: 10am AZ time is the cut off time for registering for that week.
This volunteer effort allows us to keep our funds in the field and increase the number of organizers we can have on the ground. We now have four full time Native field organizers: you help make that possible with these cards to voters. Thank you!
Questions? Reach out to [email protected]

============================
*More about why we write postcards to voters on Sovereign Lands in Northeast Arizona:*
The tribal lands in Northeast Arizona stretch over a vast rural geography whose population is thinly spread. Most areas receive little to no cellular and Internet coverage. There are few major roads, and seasonal washouts and snowfall complicate driving. Given this geography, Native Democrats organizing their communities turned to large postcards campaigns to reach out to Navajo, Hopi, and White Mountain Apache voters across the region.
In 2020 volunteers for the Northeast Arizona Native Democrats sent over 18,000 postcards to voters on the Navajo, Hopi and White Mountain Apache Nations. That means volunteers sent postcards to EVERY Permanent Early Voting List (PEVL) voter, explaining to them how to make sure their vote counted. Their work paid off. We had a 300% increase in mail in ballots in 2020 over 2016 and yet only a tiny increase in ballots that needed corrections. We know this project increased the number of votes counted on tribal land and extended Biden’s victory in Arizona.
In 2021, we sent almost 80,000 cards to keep our voters connected to what Democrats are doing in their community - every year, not just when there is an election. Your work has allowed to reach out to every registered Democrat on Tribal lands, while saving us the equivalent of an entire year's salary for one of our Native organizers. Thank you!
