How have Northern Rail managed to avoid having their contract taken from them?

I've been travelling to work via train this week. Westhoughton to Salford Central and back. Not normally a long distance, by any means.

Over the three days of the week thus far (Tue, Wed, Thu), I've had no less than five of my trains cancelled on me.

Most common reason, "Last minute schedule change"

STOP Changing the Schedule at the last minute!!!

If private sector is inherently better than government at running things, why does the UK keep nationalising railroads?

Dear @[email protected]
Thanks but I'd rather have a train with more than a driver on board, a staffed ticket office + happy rail staff with decent terms + conditions
#NationaliseRail + end this madness now
