Following #NASFiC, two people whom I know of have tested positive for #COVID, and one other probably has it. Could be more; these are just people who have mentioned it on Discord.

Hey y'all!
It's a bittersweet Monday today.

My beloved truck sits where I had an appointment this afternoon, unwilling to start or be put into neutral, so it can't be towed . . . Ford, you owe me one.

My weekend was great! I was basking in the glow from the lovely Buffalo NASFiC. Great panels, plus a fun poker game (with Phil Foglio!) and other friends all weekend.

Back from #NASFiC. Good con. 475 mile drive. Very tired now.
#NASFiC in Buffalo had an extensive filk program, with all program items conveniently in the same room. The filkers were mostly from Ontario and the northeastern US, where "northeast" extends as far west as Michigan and as far south as Virginia.
#DragonCon should apply to host #NASFIC in 2027 or #WorldCon in 2030: https://www.worldcon.org/worldcon-bids/

I was checking out of the #Nasfic hotel and the desk clerk was named "Garion". Yes, after the #DavidEddings character. He's a bigger #BrandonSanderson fan, though.

He had no idea what NASFiC was or that it was relevant to his name. Nice kid, though.

@nitpicking Fandom is definitely greying, as younger fans gravitate to anime and comic cons, but you're far from the youngest at this #NASFIC.

Interesting fan-table additions from this week's #NASFIC

- the local 501st Legion
- the local library

The usuals: every upcoming SFF fan con in the country in the next year

Missing: Local anime cons

In a few minutes, I'll be showing three of my short films at #nasfic and you can watch these films on this hashtag #DilmanShortFilms or via my www.patreon.com/dilstories
Akoota (2019) about a girl who has to save her village from GMO mosquitoes; Kifaro (2020) about a man who sends a drone to assassinate his wife; and Lanyonyo (2024) about a girl who repairs a robot to help her mother with household chores.

I'm at #NASFiC in Buffalo.

In any given room of this con, I will be the youngest, or maybe second-youngest person.

I'm 62.

It was such a relief to go to breakfast at Public Espresso. The food was average, the coffee surprisingly bad, but I was the *oldest* person there. I don't really want to hang with only my fellow seniors.
