Maybe I'm reading into it, but I'm getting something I didn't know to expect from my quest to watch every Nang/Mae Nak film I can access -- how many of them give significant nods to the 1999 Nang Nak with Sine Inthira, and through that something of an understanding of how much that version, and Nak's story, means to Thais.

I found the 1959 #MaeNak Phra Khanong 😊 😊 on youtube with poor but watchable video, auto-generated subtitles that both clarified and confused and redubbed audio with space age sound affects.
A key interest is in the different ways stories are told so I'm feeling both satisfied and very much wanting to see it with the original audio, though that may no longer exist.
(#NangNak from 1999 is the one to watch first, if anyone is interested.)

Mae Nak Phra Khanong

~~ Based on the Thai legend of "Mae Nak Phra Khanong" (แม่นากพระโขนง) or Nang Nak (นางนาก).
