Turns out I now need to do everything in my power to quickly move my name change through the legal process. I had hoped to do it as I could afford over a few months.

However, my apartment community refuses to call me by my preferred name, and apparently who knows if I will receive mail or packages with my preferred name until the apartment managers get a court document.

And my credit union needs not only the court document, but ID in the new name to change my debit card name, even though my credit cards were able to easily be changed.

The one really cool thing is that my healthcare providers are happy to call me by my preferred name. It was awesome to hear Alex being called out at my GP/PCP this morning!

So I got some good news.

My long stalled name change petition is finally back in motion. Hearing is set for two weeks from now.
