What songs or music have had an impact on you?
Well, there was a time when I would strap on my toy six shooter, strut around drawing it out, while listening to Marty Robbins' Big Iron. I failed to become a gun slinger though.
Later it was Alice Cooper's Schools Out but again I failed and never developed a distaste for school.
At least when I was overplaying Jethro Tull's Heavy Horses I was spending a fair amount of time working with horses.
I guess the biggest impact has been a never ending love for music across genres and times.

The first time I can remember ever being comforted by a song (besides Mom singing lullabies) was one day when the parents were having an awful fight, and six year old me was in my room listening to this one and trying very hard to just let it be.
