After watching #Downtown81 last night, I'm seeing #KidCreoleAndTheCoconuts in a whole new light. They came to Teen Me as a fun band, but it seems there is a much more serious side, and they were part of this arty jazzy 80s #NewYork scene #MuddClub #Basquiat #music - also he was in his 30s by this point, having been in other bands ( Wikipedia says) Alot if their lyrics are deeper than #Blondie #Rapture !!
