MichaelMy bestie and I had a great hike in Big Basin yesterday, although we did have to climb over a few trees that came down in the storm a week ago. We were happy to find some wild flowers have started to bloom.
I went hiking in Big Basin Redwoods State Park yesterday with my sweetie and a good friend of ours. We hiked out to Mt McAbee on Hihn Hammond Rd. This trail had been closed due to the August 2020 CZU Lightening Complex fire, and was re-opened just a week or so ago. It was great to go back up there. Although the area was badly burned, many of the redwoods survived, and the shrubs and bushes are happy with the now sunny hillsides.
