Yes, this is real. All too real if you ask me.
With support from my entire family I'm going back to Uni full time to become a secondary/high school teacher, with my first teaching area focusing on Humanities (Society & Culture, Media Studies, Studies of Religion) and my second teaching area landing on Information Process and Technology (computing).
My first class is 8am Mon 26 Feb(!).
It's gonna be four years of slog, and I'm gonna need a part-time job promptly (please and thank you). It also unfortunately means we're selling our block and therefore won't be building as we'd hoped (more on that later).
I'm excited at the opportunity and the potential to do something that maybe should have happened 30 years ago. A passion I've long held and wondered if the moment had passed me by. Sliding doors moment - if it had, I wouldn't have met Michelle and therefore no teens that we love and cherish today. So...swings and roundabouts, I guess. ;) Buy me a coffee sometime and I'll give you the full story.
So here we go...
Also and by the way--any help finding a part-time/casual job on the Central Coast of NSW would be completely appreciated.
P.S. Wanna buy a beautiful block of land in Erina Heights? It's priced very reasonably and will shortly have an approved development application on it...
To add to that I've a meeting with a co-worker (even though I'm on sick leave - he lives far away and this is a fortuitous opportunity), a little shopping, some Service NSW admin, drop my bass off for shipping, and the first of our Church's Carols rehearsal.
It's the most wonderful time of the year...
