He’s been slowly gaining fluid in his abdomen due to kidney disease. He should, hopefully, feel much better when he gets home. Video is a chocolate and tan min pin who managed to get himself trapped in a square between a couple of foot stools and two ramps.

Working on my New Testament final project from the recliner (feet grounded on a stepstool because anything else = instant nap 😴). Chronic fatigue + occipital neuralgia means this setup is the only way I can focus.

Of course, my dog Squeaker needed his kennel out here so he could see me. He was already in his "pocket" bed, so I bent down to put him in… and Rain, one of our big dogs, took the opportunity to lick me right in the mouth. Twice.

Third try = success. Mom and I laughed so hard. Squeaker's settled now, Rain's proud of herself, and I'm back to writing.

He refused to leave his "pocket" bed, so I had to pick up the whole bundle — dog + bed — and wrestle it through a kennel door just wide enough for the bed. Eleven pounds of pure Min Pin dead weight, and I was out of breath by the end. 🐾💪

At the Grand Age of 20, Higgs has no eyes now but he still gives a glorious Tongue Out Tuesday. His eye was removed due to glaucoma and naturally it’s itching a little as it heals. He was blind before he had it out, so there wasn’t much change for him aside from significantly improving his comfort. He’s much happier as a no-eyed Min Pin.
