As a PhD candidate, you will be part of an international research project, applying innovative computational methods to the study of the transmission history of the Latin Physiologus.

Requirements include: MA degree in a relevant field by the time of appointment, experience in medieval manuscript studies and relevant computational methods, and good/excellent knowledge of Latin.

Deadline for applications is 15 January 2026. Employment from 15 April 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

24th International Medieval Sermon Studies Symposium (from Lucie Doležalová, Prague)

Proposals for 20-minute papers are sought from all religious traditions. The symposium will be held in Prague, 12–16 July 2024.

Proposals, due 31 October 2023, should include an abstract of max. 350 words and indicate whether presentation will be in person or virtually.
