Onderzoek heeft uitgewezen dat de Kameroense international zondag tegen Fulham de voorste kruisbanden in een van zijn knieën heeft gescheurd. Dat bevestigde zijn trainer Jürgen Klopp tijdens de persconferentie na afloop van het uitduel met Sheffield United. Liverpool won met 2-0.
