the other night's Doom with @kara session saw us begin episode 3: Inferno, the creation of chaotic id trash-mapper Sandy Peterson. pistol-starting through these maps it's appropriate that i am literally in hell

(looking forward to what may be the canonical first rocket jump tho)

played co-op chocolate doom ep. 2 with @kara, pistol starts only. as a seasoned vet i was surprised it could be somewhat challenging at times, often due to lack of weapons/ammo. the tanky barons can become very bad news

annoyingly, the computer map only helped the person who grabbed it, something i was not previously aware of

fun, though! having a partner who likes both SF2 and Doom is kind of amazing

Absolutely Killed is a very good Doom 1 episode and i'm glad eevee took my suggestion to play it

So... Commander Keen is the Grandson of B.J. Blazkowicz, the main character of Wolfenstein 3-D.

And apparently, Doomguy is named Stan Blazkowicz, which means he's the Great^(n-2) Grandson of Commander Keen.

Ignoring the whole "All iD Software Games Take Place in the Same Universe" stuff... what the hell is the deal with the end of Level 32 in Doom II then?
