Mask of Phantasm is about Batman's first year, as he tries to decide what to do. He frequently visits the family grave and ask for signs what to do from his parents. His inner conflict is clear: be Bruce Wayne, find happiness in a loving woman's arm and try to do good via his company. On the other hand he sees that the city is deeply corrupt, and needs a crimefighter who isn't bound by law, but still commits to do the right thing. And of course he knows that he can't do both...

This is a dark take on Bruce Wayne and his dilemma of who he wants to be. An absolutely stellar performance both from Kevin Conroy and Dana Delaney.
