Last observation from the morning was a new viewing of #MarkariansChain. So amazing to learn about this area of multiple galaxies. Created an image with markups of the galaxies visible in this area. The lettering in bold purple are the main members of Markarian's Chain. The other just happen to be in the field of view. #seestar #S50 #space #astronomy #amateur

Here is my highlight of the morning. It was about 7 hours I go that I learned of #MarkariansChain. This collection of galaxies is a centerpiece of the Virgo Cluster. Because these galaxies are physically close to one another, they offer a rare chance to see how gravity shapes the universe through mergers and tidal interactions. #seestar #S50 #space #astronomy #amateur

Markarian’s Chain is a string of galaxies located towards the center of the Virgo Galaxy Cluster. Markarian’s Chain contains at least 7 different galaxy members that appear to move coherently: notably 2 huge, bright lenticular galaxies known as M84 and M86. #Astrophotography #MarkariansChain is a string of galaxies in the #Virgo constellation. There are so many more visible galaxies than the ones I labeled in this photo but I had to stop my research so I could start my work day! #StillLearning
