@cocteautriplets Interesting that the name Margaret Tod (one "d") appears as a leader in radium medicine. Glasgow doctor Margaret Todd (two "d"s) also has a radium connection. She came up with the word "isotope" for Frederick Soddy, when he realised that thorium and uranium decay produced nuclearly-different versions of the same element - radium in 1913. #MargaretTod #MargaretTodd #Radium #Isotopes

I love that Glasgow University has a plaque on one of its buildings marking the birthplace of the word Isotope. Unfortunately, it has two rather major errors. Firstly, the dinner party where the word was first introduced didn't happen in 1913, but sometime between 1909 and 1912.

Just a throwback to 2008, and a great trip to #Maine, this section in Bar Harbor.

We stayed at a hotel along the water, and had a nice view of the schooner #MargaretTodd coming home from an evening outing, and dropping her red sails as she approached the dock.

When we had gone out on her ourselves during a previous day I missed most of the sights because they had a #Newfie named "Publius" whom I had to pet. The whole time.

Priorities.
