Last stop on my list was Vancouver Community Laboratory. Complete with propane fireblock forge. This was a pretty hasty tour so I mostly saw the wood and metal working areas. There was a dragon sculpture in the back, community garden out front, and someone making furniture out of compressed blackberry canes and seaweed. Incredible.

Todays excursion was to MakerLabs in Downtown Eastside Vancouver. Huge, stuff everywhere, has member owned cafe, chocolate maker, bike repair space, has a ceramics studio, and a member organized retail space.
