In the past, both the Pentagon and NOAA knew they needed global weather coverage, and agree to split responsibilities and share the data so the could spread the cost between their budgets. #DMSP for the #DOD and #POES and #GOES for #NOAA.
It was a win for everyone. Better #storm tracking, better #forecasting at home and in foreign locations for the #military.
Then #Trump tried to destroy it because neither he and all his orbiters are too stupid to understand how vital this is not just to the economy, but to #life. Until someone stopped them:
