A good death can be huge for a character's development, and Magical Girl Raising Project had no shortage of character deaths, and I liked the difference between how "good" and "bad" characters were handled.
To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Magical Girl Raising Project is a dark magical girl series. While the anime came out in 2016, the light novel was written in the year following Madoka Magica's release.
