I had a wonderful time yesterday evening at #Maro 's concert in Paris.

To be honest, I'm not that much of a concert person. I'm a big music fan, so I do go to the occasional gig (typically when an artist I love is in town), but I'd usually rather listen to music at home. And indeed, my experience with many of the concerts I attend ends up being "OK", though of course there are exceptions: sometimes the performer is super energetic and puts on an impressive show, sometimes the music has some kind of hypnotic quality and I manage to "get into it"...

But yesterday was different. Sure, Maro is an incredibly talented musician, and her band was too. But what set the concert apart was the outpouring of love and joy, both on the scene and in the audience.

It was actually the first time I went to a concert with the type of fanbase that knows the songs and sings along (when appropriate), randomly shouts "We love you!", liberally makes 🫶s and 🫰s... And Maro was absolutely stoked, and she showed it. She kept going on about how happy and grateful she was to be here, making the effort to mostly talk in French, and just generally interacting a lot and being super expressive.

All in all, a super heartwarming and wholesome evening with a wonderful artist and audience.
