Crisis (Identity)
#MoodMusicMonday theme is "Intense"
"Uncle" is on the shorter side of Lucy Liyou's tracks, but I still have to psych myself up like for all their other pieces since it reminds me very much of how it feels to be in a bad headspace.
I imagine most people bounce off the text-to-speech vocals, but I think it works with Liyou's "theater of memory" approach. It matches surprisingly well with how my own inner voice seems to flatten/be made brittle when overcome by a negative spiral. The only thing with definition is this semi-coherent fear and resentment that you can't even tell is you or not.
(Not a well-supported interpretation btw especially in context with the rest of the album; I'm sharing headcanon)
