#looptober

#Looptober the 26th. Go earnestly forward, the end draws ever nearer.

For day twenty-six of #looptober, I've put together a veritable tribute to threes and nines called "Trifurcator". It's in 9/8 time, there are three groups of nine measures per loop, and it sounds like a drunken sailor. I don't know what that has to do with threes or nines, but it's true. The title is a play on the fantasy sound chip it's composed for, the Bifurcator, which generates sound using the math of the logistic map. (Yes, that's delightfully absurd.)

Enjoy!

This is my #looptober track for today, it’s a chiptune synth pop thing. There’s a little bit of jank in this one but I really need to clean the house today. Nobody sympathizes if I spend all day with my synthesizers.

I don’t know what genre you’d this call this but my tired self is gonna call it Melodic Sleepytime Memoryfoam Electro cuz my head is ready to drop the bass on my pillow.

#looptober 2025-10-17 (albeit recorded on 2025-10-08)... on 'eidolon pareidolia,' the second half is this kind of falling apart moment that partially relies on the somewhat-unstable pitch tracking of the korg x-911. i wanted to make myself a kind of horrible collapsing layer for the looptober project, so this mess is the result of running the stylophone cpm-ds2 through the x-911.
@brhfl I really like the weird, grainy transients in this
@reillypascal thanks! my goal was to feed the x-911 something _fairly_ close to a sine that it could track with juuuust enough harmonics to throw it off a bit and i think it mostly worked :D
