In #StarWars #TheLastJedi Finn doesn't get why Rose hates Canto Bight, "it's beautiful" but she says "look again" & hands him binoculars. We see a child worker beaten. Is it a metaphor for Vegas? The truth about many (most?) resort destinations is workers get dismal wages & are often mistreated. Back in '90s a friend waitressed at Disneyland. She was paid terribly & could not ask for a holiday off (not even Christmas). I remember thinking it wasn't the happiest place on earth for her. #LookAgain
