📝 Plot:
A fading stage magician travels through post-war Europe, performing small tricks for shrinking audiences. In Scotland, he befriends a young woman who believes his magic is real, drawing him into a quiet bond built on illusion and kindness. Told almost without dialogue, the film reflects on loss, changing times, and the fragile dignity of performers left behind by modernity.

L'Illusionniste Sylvain Chomet (2010)
Jacques Tati originally wrote the script for The Illusionist. It was a 'love letter' from a father to his first daughter, but never got produced. Chomet, director of Les Triplettes de Belleville, adapted the script and used his own original animated style.
