I'm surprised by this comment. Wratt works at a radio company, so you'd think he'd know better than me. But I thought AM was the modulation that went further on less power.
Any #radio experts out there who can clarify?

"Transmission via FM ... is a great way for broadcasters to reach an audience. All you need is 1 antenna to reach thousands of people, if not millions ... in a big city like Auckland, for example, and that costs the listeners absolutely nothing to receive. There's no data plan, there's no time lag.
