A 37-year-old man who escaped police custody while receiving medical treatment at a Houston area hospital Sunday was apprehended within hours of escaping, according to the League City Police Department.

After his arrest, Taylor had a medical complaint and was transported to the University of Texas Medical Branch Victory Lakes hospital for evaluation. Early Sunday morning, the man escaped custody from a hospital room, according to the police department.
