@webcomictalk Looking back, I realize I haven't actually done a ton of sound effects in #LandWalk.

I like the idea of making it fit in with the art, but also have the image of the word communicate something of the sound. That could be the timbre of the sound (a "blorp" might be bubble letters, while "bzzang" might be sharper), or here's an example of trying to communicate the directionality of the sound with a "Fwooosh!" taking off toward the sky

@webcomictalk Some of them do - I don't hide it, but I don't go out of my way to share it either. I could probably count the number of people in my personal life who've read #LandWalk on two hands, but I'm lucky b/c I get a lot of support from that crowd :)

@webcomictalk The closest I've come is to model the pattern on Lali's vest after one of Quark's jackets (from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

I have so many bands that I'd love to reference on t-shirts in a comic (seems like a thing to do 😜), but Land Walk doesn't have so many T-shirts...

@webcomictalk The plot of #LandWalk (protagonists transporting a sapling) was inspired by my partner carrying saplings around the apartment to keep them in the sunlight (she's growing them to be bonsais). Kamu is also roughly based on her, so sometimes her personality comes through in a way that makes her laugh :)
