Thaw di Gras 2026

It was Dawson City's Thaw di Gras Spring Carnival this past weekend. As always, it was bitterly cold, but sunny! I went out three nights in a row! We kicked off our Thaw di Gras by absolutely freezing nearly to death for 35 minutes in line to get into Gerties for our town's annual Lip Sync competition. I went to a French rock concert

And I thoroughly enjoyed it! Except maybe I should bring ear protection next time, that was kinda loud. I had a goal to get out and do more things this fall/winter/hibernation season. Last night I went to see the Vancouver Chamber Choir perform here in Dawson City. It’s been a super lazy week

I think I'm just mourning the end of the adventures, or maybe the end of the nice weather, or maybe I needed some recovery time, I don't know, but I've been pretty chill this week. Just catching up on some YouTube and TV watching. I haven't finished cleaning everything out of the truck or getting all my gear put away. Most of it, but not quite all of it.
