Playing Ambient. Born in Winnipeg, Canada, and raised in Seattle, Kerry Leimer began his musical journey in the mid 1970s, inspired by the post-hippy European innovations of bands like Can, Neu!, Faust and Cluster. He scoured pawnshops for cheap electronic recording equipment, and later multi-track tape machines and Moog synthesizers. It was this equipment, married with Leimer's own esoteric inspirations and lack of formal musical training, which lead to his uncovering of otherworldly and unique sonic spaces.
