Why unbearably cringe?
Because readers can't talk about books with other readers without mentioning those books. And mentioning books they don't like is not only *not* disrespectful, it can both sell those books to readers who will appreciate them, and save readers who may be harmed by them from stumbling into them.
Book tiktok, like all other reviews, are for readers. End of.
