I don't think the second cour of Katana Maidens: Toji no Miko was necessary. The ending of the first cour was fine, the plot of the second cour was worse, and I would have preferred the studio devote more time to a single cour.

Most of the characters in Katana Maidens: Toji no Miko aren't bad, but also aren't very unique when compared to characters from similar series. Yume, however, is a great character for one simple reason.
There's a pretty obvious solution to the plot of Katana Maidens: Toji no Miko that the characters acknowledge but then never act on. The Aradama would go away if the Toji simply got rid of their katana.
