Traurig: #Junodownload ist dicht – einfach so, ohne Vorwarnung, nur mit einer kurzen Abschiedsnachricht auf der Seite. Nach gut 20 Jahren verschwindet damit einer der wichtigsten Download-Stores für elektronische Musik, gerade auch für #electro Underground und Nischensounds. Die Gründe: Streaming dominiert, viele Artists und Labels gehen direkt über Plattformen wie Bandcamp, das klassische Download-Modell lohnt sich kaum noch.

Ich bin wirklich traurig darüber. Junodownload war ein großartiger Förderer der Electro-Szene und ein unverzichtbares Archiv für unzählige Releases. Ein weiterer wichtiger Ort für digitale Clubkultur geht verloren. Ein echter Verlust. 😢

Well annoyed by the fact that #JunoDownload just decided to shut down. No warning, email or anything. Just woke up and that is it. I had items I was going to buy on my wishlist. No doubt that lots of juno only releases will be lost to time.
