Recently there have been online rumours that some locals want to secede from Estonia and join Russia.

Pre Feb 2022 Estonians watched #RussianTV and crossed over to #Ivangorod #StPetersburg, which is closer to #Narva than #Tallinn, the #Estonian capital
Now the consulates in Narva and St Petersburg are closed and Estonia has banned Russian TV bc it's #Kremlin #propaganda (see same BBC url above)
#Russia will close the #Ivangorod checkpoint on the #border with #Estonia to road #traffic from February 2024 to late 2025. The border crossing will remain open for pedestrians.

😂😂 Mann ich liebe die Balten. Nachdem die Russen in #Ivangorod grosse Bildschirme aufstellten um den Esten auf der anderen Seite der Grenze zu zeigen wie der 9. Mai in #Moskau gefeiert wird, haben die ein riesengrosses Plakat mit 'Putin War Criminal' am Burg in #Narva aufgehängt. Die Bitte der russischen Grenzbeamten es abzuhängen, wurde abgelehnt.
