Don't get me wrong, I love #InternetAesthetics and their ability to speak to something so shared and so personal at the same time; so alien and yet so familiar

So its all the more frustrating that something that has spawned so many neologistic children refuses to adopt this key characteristic of its brood

( Although, that's kind of fitting in a sense; a succinct reflection of the #StateOfTheWorld and all that )

So, I'm always a little miffed with lost opportunities for the coming of neologisms.

I see this quite often with new paradigms that emerge organically from older currents with some similarity, or when the misinterpretation of a thing is gradually formalised (by the wisdom of the crowd) into a whole new thing (with only trace amounts of the source-thing and the inversion).

A particularly distinct instances of this is in the emergence of #InternetAesthetics and its cannibalisation of #aesthetics
