Australian🇦🇺 Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek announces at #COP15 #Australia will host a Nature Positive Summit, a global meeting of the world’s environment ministers and business leaders in 2024.

The Summit will focus on how to encourage private finance for on-the-ground nature repair projects, such as restoring #mangroves, protecting waterways, and re-establishing habitat for #ThreatenedSpecies. The Summit will support implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity (#CBD) and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (#UNFCCC) and it will build on Australia’s strong support for the International Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosure (#ITNFD). Australia is working with Pacific nations to ensure strong representation from Pacific region. Host city will be disclosed in coming months.
