David J. AtkinsonI’m deeply saddened today by news that a colleague has died. Professor Yorick Wilks and I worked alongside each other at Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition #IHMC for years. We spoke daily when he was in residence. He was one of the smartest people I have ever met. An early pioneer in semantic natural language processing, dialog systems, his recent work in companion systems for the elderly and veterans with brain injuries was truly inspiring. RIP my friend.
