Join us for an exciting webinar on the new Grade 10 Digital Technology and Innovations in the Changing World Course (ICD2O) offered by the Ontario Ministry of Education. This course is designed to help students develop cutting-edge digital technology and computer programming skills that will support them in contributing to and leading the global economic, scientific, and societal innovations of tomorrow. In this webinar, we will explore the course’s objectives, structure, and content, including the elements of the new curriculum and the strands in the curriculum. We will also compare and contrast this new course to the previous Introduction to Computer Studies (ICS2O) course from 2008. Additionally, we will discuss considerations for program planning, cross-curricular and integrated learning, and assessment and evaluation strategies in relation to the strands and the achievement chart. We will also talk about the vision of the course and the lens you can use when teaching it. At the end of the webinar, we will share ministry resources and links that you can use for the course. Join us to learn more about this exciting new course and how it can benefit your students!
