Today, January 27, we remember the victims of the Holocaust. It was on this day in 1945 that Auschwitz death camp was liberated. Additional death camps were freed throughout March and April.

Six million Jews (two thirds of Europe’s Jewish population) and millions of others (like Roma, disabled people, and LGBTQ people) were murdered by the Nazis. Generations continue to suffer from the trauma and loss.

May we recognize, learn, and prevent this from ever happening again. Visit the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum at www.ushmm.org for resources and to donate to the cause.
