I saw the Hal Galper Trio in Calicoon NY at the Rafters Tavern, Live saturday jazz. ("post-bop" it says in Discogs hmm ok). Very good set! Decent amount of folks there. They were there every Saturday for quite some time. An afternoon residency. The Tavern is going to close for the month of february for some kitchen upgrades but Hal told me they will be back same time & place in march & future g-d willing.
