Faig servir ben poc el #Whatsapp en general, però el mantinc per la feina i alguna altra cosa que hi va per defecte. Com la majoria, suposo.

He vist que recomanades #BirdyChat i #Haiket com a aplicacions que poden accedir a la missatgeria de Whatsapp sense estar fetes per Meta... Però cap de les dues són de codi obert i hi ha empreses amb ànims de lucre darrere: no és una mica sortir de la cassola i caure al foc, recomanar-les?

Meta seguirà tenint accés als missatges, al cap i a la fi els seus servidors en gestionaran el trànsit. Tindrà el mateix que tingui ara, que diuen que estan encriptats d'extrem a extrem: les metadates i el registre de amb qui es parla, segur. Si llegeixen el contingut un cop desencriptat, ho seguirà podent fer en el client receptor. I afegim noves empreses al mix.

No tinc molt clar d'adoptar-les, la veritat. En teniu més informació?

Why are the only solutions compatible with Meta's messenger platform coming from complete unknown corners of the interwebz, have no user-base and no history of previous offerings? Why is there zero knowledge about the actual humans developing these products? Does anyone know anything about them?

So. WhatsApp announced interoperability.
With two other messenger apps
#BirdyChat and #Haiket
Never heared of both.

Not surprisingly one is a to come proprietary app which you only can join as a professional with your work email (BC), the other one is open source and focused on voice messaging, but also with a waiting list.

To be honest, seems to me that TechBros meeting up with TechBros/Startup, just the continent changed.

Dont expect too much. Does anyone know more?
