Ce vendredi 8 mai 2026, le ministère français de la Santé a annoncé qu’un ressortissant français ayant pris l’ #avion avec un cas confirmé d’hantavirus a été testé négatif. Cinq autres Français se trouvant à bord du « MV #Hondius », attendu dimanche aux Canaries, seront rapatriés et étroitement surveillés.

De Nederlandse opvarenden van het cruiseschip Hondius gaan nadat zij gerepatrieerd zijn zes weken in thuisquarantaine. Dat meldt minister Sophie Hermans (Volksgezondheid, VVD) in een brief aan de Tweede Kamer.

De 23 Britse opvarenden van het cruiseschip Hondius gaan, als ze eenmaal terug zijn in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, 45 dagen in quarantaine. Dat is de wens van de Britse overheid. De passagiers en crewleden zitten nu nog vast op het schip waar het hantavirus zich verspreidde en waar drie mensen aan overleden, onder wie een Nederlands stel. Het is nog onduidelijk wat de tien Nederlandse opvarenden moeten doen als ze thuis zijn.
