I’m watching this hearing right now, a woman testifying for this bill was talking about how the “filters” they would expect the manufacturers to activate on the devices registered to children involve these “spiders” that crawl sites and use AI to evaluate what is obscene.
So yeah, no. A webpage for NIH regarding genital herpes would probably be considered obscene. Sure a 12 year old probably wouldn’t be looking for that info but a 17 year old worried about a lesion might.

Attached: 1 image This is a “porn ban” for NH being heard on Wednesday in the NH judiciary committee. It’s wild because it’s telling electronics manufacturers they have to install a filter on smart phones and tablets that would prevent minors from accessing obscene materials, and I just don’t understand how they think device manufacturers are going to go through all this just so they can sell devices in our tiny state. We can just go buy them in mass. Or kids can use their laptops because those aren’t included in this law. Anyway if you would like to support or oppose the bill you can use this link right here https://gc.nh.gov/house/committees/remotetestimony/ After you enter your information you would choose February 5, then you would choose the judiciary committee from the drop-down, then you would choose HB293 at 11 AM, support or oppose, and if you write anything in the text box just be aware that it becomes public record. If the link here does not show you the text for the bill you should see a drop-down for “version” and you’ll just want to choose introduced, or if there’s a more recent one pick that one. That should allow you to read the whole bill. https://gc.nh.gov/bill_Status/billinfo.aspx?id=605 #HB293 #gooners #PornBan #NHpol
