How about an article about what was said and the merits of it.

This back and forth commentary is tiresome.

The Guardian Australia has this 'exclusive':

'Appallingly unethical’: why Australian universities are at breaking point https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2023/apr/10/appallingly-unethical-why-australian-universities-are-at-breaking-point

It highlights many areas of concern in academia - loss of staff, casualistion of staff and associated poor practices, outsourcing of online material, etc. It paints a picture that this is universal Australian university experience, and in my opinion that is not correct. The article focuses on stories from just a few universities and clearly the concerns there are real.

It is near the end of term here at UNSW Sydney, and my experience of teaching two courses this term has been overwhelming positive. Face to face teaching has been great, the students are enjoying being in class, they are working hard and socializing hard. It is great to see them enjoying being at university and they are a pleasure to teach. Okay, I do have wall to wall grading the next few weeks....

Now is precisely the wrong time to be pursuing fossil fuel expansion.
