Uh huh.
They are epigenetically incapable of taking accountability for their own actions.

They actually seem to believe that they get exemptions for being shitty people because of some inherent trait, like being a lesbian or disabled.

And most of them DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE an out, so they try to leverage their FRIEND'S outs, like: "I have a gay friend, so I can't be held responsible for the shitty things I do."

"I have a disabled friend so I can't be held responsible for the shitty things I do."

Grievance collectors are hypengyophobic.

What I find interesting is how much information is actually out there, but under different labels:

• Wound collectors¹
❝ In essence, these are individuals who go out of their way to collect social slights, historical grievances, injustices, unfair or disparate treatment, or wrongs—whether real or imagined (Dangerous Personalities, 2014 Rodale Publishing). They don't forgive or forget and they don't move on. ❞

• Injustice collectors²
❝ Like an illicit affair, our beloved grudges usually end up creating misery for all involved.

The tendency to itemize every unfair knock we've ever suffered is known as injustice collecting. ❞

• Grievance collectors³
❝ [S]omeone who remembers every slight or perceived slight from other people and begins to attribute their own shortcoming or failures to those alleged affronts. ❞

The last is what I remember seeing first, specifically in regards to this piece:

Nova Scotia shooter was likely ‘grievance collector,’ says former FBI profiler

Fitzgerald stressed he wants to be careful about diagnosing the killer from a distance because he isn’t working on the case and said his knowledge of it stems from what he’s read in media. But what he’s read has left him with some clear impressions.

“People who study him after the fact will see some indications of psychopathy; in other words, he was a psychopath,” Fitzgerald said. “There’s a numerical scale (for psychopathy) — you can be low on the scale, you can be high on the scale.”

The Nova Scotia shooter, he said, would be near the top of the scale due to the extremely violent nature of his crimes.

Fitzgerald said the shooter appears to have been a “grievance collector,” someone who remembers every slight or perceived slight from other people and begins to attribute their own shortcoming or failures to those alleged affronts. The grievances fester and can boil over into acts of vengeance.

And this part seems to be key:

Fitzgerald also said the shooter fits into the category of an “organized offender.” These are often violent offenders who take the time to prepare for their crimes and are the most difficult to predict because of their careful and calculating nature.

Nova Scotia shooter was likely ‘grievance collector,’ says former FBI profiler

Killers with police and military fetishes are often the most dangerous, says James R. Fitzgerald, a former FBI agent who worked on the unabomber and D.C. sniper cases.

I'm going to spend my subway time over the next few days making an attempt to understand the pathology of grievance collectors. If it's not something you want to see, you can probably mute the hashtag

#GrievanceCollectors

as I'll try to make sure everything I post on the subject is branded with this.

I would, however, love to hear other people's experiences with this deeply fucked up subset of people.
