In the aftermath of Al Jazeera's Gold Mafia news documentary which exposed a conspiracy by President Emmerson Mnangagwa's ambassador-at-large Uebert Angel and others to commit financial crimes amid money laundering, smuggling and corruption activities, Ghana's President Nana Akufo-Addo has threatened to take legal action against the Qatar broadcaster for defamation over the news film after he was mentioned by one of the actors Alistar Mathias as his connection in a corrupt network.
