In happier birding news, today's misty morning beach outing was also filled with very serious, no-nonsense Herring and Ring-billed gulls, much maligned, yet beautiful Rock pigeons, ridiculously adorable Snowy(?) plovers, and a camera shy male Northern cardinal. Android phone takes meh pix and yet I still managed to capture these sweet faces and a little action.
