As well as the southern #CambridgeUK busway/path closure (☝️), the northern busway and foot/cycle path through #Histon will be closed weekday daytimes (0930-1600) from this Monday through Fri 7 Nov, again to install fencing.

Some previously usable crossing points will be permanently closed as a result (particularly affecting routes from #Girton), causing some consternation; I'm not familiar with the details, but this seems like a good guide:

The #CambridgeUK busway foot/cycle path between #Histon and Gatehouse Road (see previous post ☝️) is reportedly open again (I'm told the county council have said so on Facebook).

PSA for #CambridgeUK, #Histon, #Girton:
Northern busway closed between south Histon and Gatehouse Rd from tomorrow for ~2 weeks (Wed 6 - Mon 18 Nov). There's a closure on the foot/cycle path too.
No proper announcement for the path that I've spotted (sigh); mentioned in passing in news article ("The cycle path will also be closed as the tarmac is repaired due to tree-root damage.")
Dunno how far north the path is closed, but saw roots marked up by the jam factory lately.
