And now that the steaming has started we just wait. Steaming could take an hour or more so I stand here and keep the water topped off to prevent boiling off.
Time to wait and enjoy a lovely gin and tonic.
#On a whim I picked up a bottle of the Nikka Coffey Gin and holy shit is it good. It's super citrusy with floral notes, almost like a lime bitter aperitif.
But then I made it into a dry martini and was super disappointed. Getting this cold ruined the flavor profile. I also think tonic water would be too much.
Maybe just in the rocks or with some seltzer.
