A โ โ โ ยฝ review of The Uninvited (1944)
Hooptober X: 26/32 - Decade: the 40's What a nice change of pace after having watched some Video Nasties to just have Ray Milland, Ruth Hussey and Gail Russell in a haunted house on a cliff. Turns out that I've never seen a film with Ruth OR Gail before this which seems like an oversight if any. But I will return to why that might be in a bit (cliff hanger/click bait). The film got a lot of fun visual gags that tickles my kink for old timey special effects. Matte paintings (I think?), time lapses, back projections, double exposures...
