There is a meme going around calling Trump/Vance "weird." I am not in favor of that framing. I am probably wrong, I often am.

My one person focus group, my (female) partner tells me that "weird" is out of the ordinary, but that "creepy" is out of the ordinary "with intent."

"Weird" is a basement full of a model train layout. "Creepy" is a model train layout that depicts Auschwitz. "Weird" is using a drone to try and identify alien landing sites. "Creepy" is using a drone to take pictures of women on the beach.

The GOP is definitely "creepy" in my mind. Being so concerned with what people have in their pants, tracking pregnant women, caring what other people read -- all of that is creepy. And I think we should call it that.

I know my voice is not much here, but I will continue to argue in favor of "creeps" or "creepy."

Weird is just out of the mainstream. But these a-holes want to spy on you to make sure of what exactly you have in your pants or to see exactly what you are doing in your bedroom, so they can punish you for it.

That's creepy. I think that would resonate with women voters than "weird." And trust me, many, many people think that an old man who talks and behaves like #TFG is creepy. He is totally the guy you avoid at the company picnic if you are female. Vance too.

Now that I see some momentum on this, I have to say that I agree more and more with the using the words "creeps" or "creepy" rather than "weird."

Maybe it is because I am a Weird Al fan, but to me "weird" has a positive vibe to it, a bit outside the mainstream, but still interesting.

There is nothing positive about "creepy." And people who care this much about what someone else might or might not have in their pants are totally creepy. #GOPCreeps #CreepyVance #CreepyTrump

I know it is too late, but I agree with the conversation that I saw that prefers "creeps" or "creepy" instead of weird. #GOPCreeps .

There is some historical precedent for that as well, Nixon famously had his "Committee to Re-Elect the President," which was abbreviated to and pronounced CREEP.
